“É oficial: às 15h02 do dia 12 de Julho de 2011 comecei a escrever o segundo volume da saga Perdidos" – foi este o anúncio que fiz no ano passado. E não menti! Escrevi realmente 50 páginas, no entanto fui obrigada a parar por várias razões, uma das quais relacionada com o facto de que o primeiro tinha consumido demasiado de mim e sentia que estava a forçar um pouco as coisas. Resolvi deixar passar algum tempo e “tirar férias” da escrita.
Bem, acabei por não ter férias algumas, dado que afinal revi e cortei algumas páginas do “Perdidos”. Esta foi uma tarefa que repeti e terminei tão só recentemente. As versões finais estão agora a ser corrigidas por outras pessoas que não eu, pois já leio o que quero e não o que está escrito no texto.
A 26 de Abril de 2012 retomei então a segunda parte da estória. Aprendi imensas coisas desde que me lancei nesta aventura, pelo que achei melhor recuperar tudo desde o início e usar os meus novos ‘conhecimentos’. Esta noite consegui finalmente acabar de corrigir o que já tinha escrito e até adicionei umas quantas linhas no final para me lançar na continuidade. Ponto de situação: reduzi as 50 páginas a 40 dado que cortei imensa “palha”, refiz algumas partes e corrigi outras. Está tudo pronto para avançar, por isso tenciono fazê-lo nos próximos dias. Saliento, no entanto, que não vou conseguir adotar o mesmo ritmo que usei aquando da escrita do primeiro livro, o me atrasará um pouco. Por exemplo, hoje em dia passo imensas horas a atualizar o blogue, a traduzir guest-posts e entrevistas, a ler e criticar livros… Parece algo sem importância, mas consome imenso tempo. Basta juntar isso a tarefas domésticas, dar explicações, atualizar também o blog do União Futebol Clube dos bairros Olival Queimado e S. João, tentar fazer algum tipo de atividade física para não estar parada… bem, digamos que o dia não tem horas suficientes para tudo. Não faço então previsões quanto à data em que terminarei esta estória. Limitar-me-ei apenas a escrevê-la à medida que o tempo me permitir. Que os ventos da inspiração me bafejem e me polvilhem de sucesso as linhas que criar! Lol! Pretencioso, não? Hmm, vou deixar passar desta vez.
“It's official: at02pm of 12th July 2011 3: I started writing the second volume of the series Perdidos" - This was the announcement I made last year. And I didn’t lie! I actually wrote 50 pages, however I was forced to stop for several reasons, one of which related to the fact that the first book had consumed so much of me that I was forcing things a bit. I decided to let some time pass by, and to "take a vacation" from writing.
Well, I ended up not having a real vacation since, in the end, I edited and cut a few pages of "Lost Ones". This was a task I repeated, thus I only finished it recently. The final versions are now being corrected by people other than me, because I already read what I want and not what is written in the text.
On April 26, 2012 I got back to the second part of the story. I learned many things since I started this adventure, so I thought it best to recover everything from the beginning and use my new 'knowledge'. Tonight, I finally finished correcting what I had written, and even added a few lines at the end to throw me into continuity. Situation status: the 50 pages were reduced to 40 since I cut a lot of unnecessary data; I redid some parts and fixed others. It's all ready to go, and I intend to do so in the coming days. I must underline, however, that I can’t adopt the same pace I used when writing the first book, so it will take me a little bit of more time. For example, nowadays I spend many hours updating my blog, translating guest-posts and interviews, reading books and reviewing them... It seems insignificant, but consumes a lot of time. Just add that to house chores, giving tutor lessons, updating the soccer blog for UFC, trying to get some kind of physical activity to not stay still... well, let's say the day hasn’t got enough hours for everything. I have no predictions as to the date I’ll finish this story. I’ll limit myself to write it as time allows me to. Let the winds of inspiration be favorable to me, and let them sprinkle with success the lines I create! Lol! Pretentious, no? Hmm, I'll let this one pass.
