de ler este livro a 24 de julho; dou-lhe três estrelas.
Esperava
que este livro me ajudasse em termos de pesquisa para o meu próximo livro, no
entanto não me foi muito útil e nem gostei muito da leitura. A razão é muito
simples: por mais que digam que este livro faz um bom retrato do Inferno, na
minha perspetiva não o faz. Na verdade, é mais uma crítica social do que outra
coisa, cheia de referências históricas a pessoas que não dizem nada a quem não
é italiano e que nos obriga a interromper a leitura por diversas vezes para
irmos às legendas para percebermos de quem se trata. Até ao 4º círculo, consigo
definir onde estou, mas daí até ao 9º é uma confusão pegada. Dante bem podia
ter sido mais claro…

I finished reading this book on July 24th,
and I rate it three stars.
I
hoped this book would help me in terms of research for my next book, however it
was not very helpful nor have I enjoyed the reading. The reason is very simple:
as much as everyone says that this book makes a good picture of Hell, in my
perspective, it doesn’t. Actually, it is more a social critique than anything,
full of historical references to people who mean nothing to whom is not Italian
and that forces us to stop reading several times and go to the subtitles to see
who he’s talking about. Till the 4th circle, I know where I am, but then until the
9th is a mess. Dante could have been clearer...
