Pois é… na sexta-feira passada o meu portátil fez “puff”! Consigo ligá-lo, mas quando chega à mensagem “Bem-vindo”, aparece uma janela a dizer que ocorreu um erro na inicialização. Depois disso, fico só com o ecrã a mostrar a minha imagem de fundo, não visualizando sequer a barra do menu Iniciar.
“Porque não o levas a um técnico de informática?” perguntam vocês. Fá-lo-ia se pudesse. O problema é que, tal como contei antes, o ecrã está fixo à parte de baixo apenas por um dos lados. Isto é, o ecrã aguenta perfeitamente bem aberto, mas não posso fechar o portátil, ou parto a moldura de plástico que envolve o ecrã. Movê-lo daqui para outro lado é complicado…
Felizmente, o meu marido tem um colega de trabalho que talvez possa ajudar. Resta-me esperar até quinta-feira, para que ele lho leve, e ver no que dá. Por sorte, copio sempre os ficheiros mais importantes para a pen quando acabo de trabalhar neles, mas tenho certas coisas no disco que gostaria de recuperar e que não gravei antes, como algumas fotos ou outros documentos secundários que uso com menos frequência, mas que acabam por fazer falta.
Entretanto, vou utilizando o portátil do meu marido, até porque ele raramente o usa. O inconveniente é que o computador passa o tempo a reclamar que não tem espaço disponível em disco e já apaguei tudo o que podia, desde ficheiros a programas. Preciso de trabalhar com programas como Photoshop, Moviemaker ou Calibre e não consigo instalá-los. Nem consegui atualizar-lhe o Office para o 2007, porque se queixa logo de que não há espaço em disco! É frustrante! Espero conseguir recuperar o meu portátil em breve…
So... last Friday in my laptop just "puffed"! I can turn it on, but when it gets to the "Welcome" message, a window appears saying that an error occurred during the startup. After that, the screen shows only my background image, and I can’t even see the “Start” button.
"Why don’t you take it to a computer technician?" you ask. I would, if I could. The problem is that, as I said before, the screen is fixed to the bottom part only by one side. That is, the screen is perfectly well when open, but I cannot close the laptop, or I’ll brake the plastic frame surrounding the screen. Moving it from here to other place is complicated...
Fortunately, my husband has a co-worker who might help. I’ll have to wait until Thursday; then, he will take the laptop with him and let’ see what happens. Luckily, I always copy important files to a pen after working on them, but I have certain things on disk that I’d like to recover since I didn’t copy them before, like some photos or other secondary documents that I seldom use, but that are still useful.
Meantime, I’m working on my husband’s laptop, as he rarely uses it. The drawback is that the computer is always complaining that there isn’t much available space on disk and I already deleted everything that I could, from files to programs. I need to work with programs like Photoshop, Moviemaker or Calibre, and I can’t install them. I wasn’t even able to upgrade it to Office 2007, because it claims that there isn’t enough disk space! It's frustrating! I hope I can get my laptop back soon...
