Supporting "Alien Hunter"

Olá, olá!

Talvez já tenham reparado no botão na barra do lateral direita do blogue que diz "Supporting Alien Hunter". O que posso dizer? Há projetos que nos envolvem de tal modo que nos tornamos fãs incondicionais e apenas queremos vê-los crescer e vingar. 

"Alien Hunter" é uma curta-metragem independente que aborda a questão da imigração vista de uma criança de 9 anos de idade. Podem encontrar a sinopse completa aqui, bem como site da curta, no seu Facebook ou Twitter.

Neste momento, a curta está a participar em diversos festivais e recebeu recentemente o segundo lugar para a Melhor Cinematografia no Festival Internacional de Ficção Científica de Miami. Michelle Chan, produtora de "Alient Hunter", em entrevista ao blogue revelou que a equipa deste projeto está "muito excitada" com esta distinção. "Apesar de não termos tido oportunidade de apareceremos realmente no festival, a curta foi reconhecia e ganhou o segundo lugar", explicou.  "Alien Hunter" vai ainda estar presente no 23º Festival Latino Anual de San Diego e no 32º Festival de Filmes Latinos de Chicago. "Esperamos que o público aprecie a mensagem por detrás deste filme e que agrade ao público mais jovem também", respondeu Michelle quando questionada acerca das expetativas da equipa quanto à participação nestes festivais.

Maybe you've noticed the button on the right side of the blog that says "Supporting Alien Hunter". What can I say? Some projects involve us so much that we become unconditional fans and we just want to see them grow and succeed.

"Alien Hunter" is an independent short movie that approches the immigration issue from a 9-year-old girl point of view. You can find the complete sinopsis here, as well as more details on its website, Facebook or Twitter page.

At this point, the movie is participating in several festivals and recently received second place for Best Cinematography at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival. Michelle Chan, producer of "Alient Hunter", revealed that the AH team is "very excited" with this distinction. "Even though we didn't have the chance to make an appearance at the actual festival, it was still recognized for its quality and won 2nd place," she said. "Alien Hunter" will also be present at the 23rd Annual San Diego Latin Film Festival and the 32nd Chicago Latino Film Festival. "We hope the audience will appreciate the message behind this film and that it appeals to the younger audience as well," said Michelle when asked about the AH team expectations on the participation in these movie festivals.
