Acabei de ler este livro a 3 de setembro de 2012. Dou-lhe três estrelas.
Apesar de achar que a autora escreve bem, fiquei um pouco triste com o livro na medida em que parece que foi escrito apenas até meio. Falta-lhe um objetivo concreto, um rumo. As personagens são-nos apresentadas, no entanto a autora perde-se em recorrentes episódios do passado e não estabelece a meta final. Sabemos que há uma luta entre o bem e o mal e que aquelas personagens vão desempenhar um papel qualquer na mesma, mas não há ação. Senti mesmo que a escrita tinha parado abruptamente e sem justificação.
O que mais gostei foi o episódio de Lisboa, talvez porque sou portuguesa, lol! Adoro ler um livro noutra língua e descobrir referências a episódios passados no meu país, mesmo que se reporte a algo tão fatídico quanto o terramoto, maremoto e incêndio de 1755.
Vou avançar já para o próximo volume da série, na esperança de que a história se desenvolva efetivamente.

I finished reading this book on September 3rd, 2012. I rate it three stars.
Despite thinking that the author writes well, I was a bit sad about the book as it seems to be written just halfway. It lacks a concrete goal, a direction. The characters are presented to us, however the author is lost in recurrent episodes of their past and does not establish the ultimate goal. We know that there is a struggle between good and evil and that those characters will play any role in it, but there’s no action. I felt that the writing had stopped abruptly and without justification.
What I liked best was the episode of Lisbon, maybe because I am Portuguese, lol! I love reading a book in another language and discover references to episodes taking place in my country, even if about something as fateful as the earthquake, tsunami and fire of 1755.
