SINOPSE

Acabei de ler este livro a 14 de outubro de 2012. Dou-lhe quatro estrelas.

Este volume foi o último da trilogia Firelight, de Sophie Jordan. O desfecho ficou um bocado aquém das minhas expectativas. Por exemplo, gostei bastante que Tamra tivesse encontrado alguém, também merecia ser feliz. Já o final reservado a Cassian não foi nada animador. Bem que o rapaz/ draki merecia um pouco de felicidade após tantas lutas e perdas significativas. Também não gostei de como as coisas acabaram para a Jacinda. Quero dizer, ela ficou com quem queria, mas aquele final dela a encontrar a mãe e, de repente, acabou a história, é demasiado repentino. Falta qualquer coisa.

Em relação às cenas de luta, acho que a Jacinda não devia ter desmaiado. A autora cortou a ação logo quando estava a ser mais interessante e apenas podemos especular o que aconteceu.

Quando parece que tudo acabou, Jacinda farta-se de repetir que está livre e que pode agora viver a vida que queria, no mundo exterior com o seu amado. Pergunto: então e os Caçadores, desapareceram por milagre? Num minuto havia-os por todas as cidades, no seguinte já não são uma preocupação. Se bem me lembro, o segredo dos Draki foi revelado pelo primo de Will. Fica muito por explicar…

I just read this book on October 14, 2012. I rate it four stars.

This was the last volume of the Firelight trilogy, by Sophie Jordan. The outcome was a bit far from my expectations. For example, I really liked that Tamra had found someone, she also deserved to be happy. As for Cassian, his finale was not encouraging. The boy / draki deserved some happiness after so many struggles and losses. I also didn’t like how things ended for Jacinda. I mean, she ended up with whom she wanted, but she finding her mother and suddenly the story ending? It’s too sudden. There’s something missing.

Regarding the fight scenes, I think Jacinda should not have fainted. The author cut when the action when it was more interesting and we can only speculate about what happened.

When it seems that everything is over, Jacinda keeps repeating that she is free and can now live the life she wanted in the outside world with the one she loved. I ask then, what about the Hunters? They miraculously disappeared? One minute there’s a lot of them in every city, the following they’re no longer a concern. If I can recall, the Draki’s secret was revealed by Will’s cousin. There’s too much to explain...
